Fendi Takes Over Harrods In London With Their Fendi Caffe And A Peekaboo Barby | July 12, 2019
Remember when you described the sequinned Fendi ‘Baguette’ as ‘good enough to eat’? Well, you can now thank Fendi Caffe for making it possible in the form of decadent cookies. The Italian brand’s cafe has made its way to the iconic Harrods in London and offers what can be described as London’s most Instagrammable and stylish coffee.
Nestled on the fifth floor, the department store will be home to Fendi Caffe through the months of July and August. The space has been designed by artist Joshua Vides who has transformed it into a monochromatic contemporary space with his signature graphic artworks. Karl Lagerfeld would definitely approve. Additionally, the signature double ‘FF’ Fendi logo has been incorporated into the space in black and white graphics.
The menu has an Italian flavour and comprises of coffee emblazoned with the ‘FF’ logo, a double ‘FF’ cake, that we must admit we want to frame rather than devour, and bag-shaped biscuits to go with the brew. These stylish goodies are served on ‘FF’ monogrammed plates and crockery. And if you thought the logomania ends here, you may want to think again. The logo can be seen everywhere, right from the walls down to the table and menu card. The cafe is designed for the Instagram generation and you are likely to see it all over your feed with the entire world and more enjoying a London summer.
A double whammy, Fendi is also hosting a Fendi Peekaboo bar at the store. This will allow shoppers to customise their Mini ‘Peekaboo’ until the end of this month. You can mix and match the body, the handle, and the strap of this popular bag to give it your own unique spin. Choose from more than 20 varied options for the body, 25 variations for the handle, and seven strap possibilities. The space flaunts the same design elements as the cafe and is also envisioned by Vides.
To complete the Fendi experience, the luxury brand has also opened a concept store within Harrods’ Shoe Heaven that features the brand’s ‘IT’ styles and will run for a period of six months. If you are in London or travelling to the city, you just cannot skip an excursion to Harrods. And, while you are at it, try and take a ride in the Fendi monogram-covered London taxis that will be doing the rounds of the city.
