Long weekends are elusive, and when we see one in sight, we grab it greedily to make the most of it. The coming week offers two possibilities for long weekends, and we are looking forward to indulging in some R&R and unwinding from our stressful city lives. It could be a scenic drive, a strong kneading massage or just a detox, everyone’s idea of what constitutes a perfect weekend differs. So, whatever your idea of an ideal weekend is, and irrespective of what city you are in, we have a bunch of getaways you can escape to, and a handful of luxe properties that will pamper you to bliss.

From Mumbai

To: Goa
A cliche, we acknowledge, but also a no-brainer when it comes to a weekend escape. Goa in the monsoon isn't as much about the beaches, shacks, and seafood, as much as it is about the green surroundings, popular cafes, and boutique stores to shop at. Besides, a road trip down to G-town in the monsoon can be a fun experience—straight out of the movies. If you find yourself headed to Goa, might we suggest you bunk at either Ahilya By The Sea or Botanique Goa. Give the clinical hotels and their endless lobbies a miss for these elegant boutique properties nestled in nature and equipped with pools, that will ensure you a warm and personal experience. Book quick!
